APSS has a user-friendly web interface that can be used to manage sales and marketing functions completely from anywhere and at any time. Its PDA version eases the work of sales personnel as they can record their activities through hand held devices and transfer the information to the application database from any remote location to input their feedback according to assigned privileges.

Sales Call Management
- With the help of this feature, a sales person can report his/her daily activity in the system.
- In call report, a sales person specifies each and every doctor he visited during the day including details such as product briefing, promo items given to doctors.
Sales Event Management
- In this feature, a sales person or a field manager can report their assigned task/event in the system.
Inventory Management
- Each sales person gets materials for promotional activities at the beginning of a new sales cycle. Therefore, a company needs to keep track of its inventory and materials that it provides to sales people for sales activities. Hence, tasks such as issuance of materials to the sales personnel and transferring of materials among them are done using this module.
Doctor Management
- This module maintains a complete database of doctors a company deal with. New doctors are added in the database frequently. A sales person possesses the rights to add or remove (activate/deactivate) any doctor with the help of this module.
User Management
- This module is used for the administration of the users of the system. With the help of this module, the administrator can easily create a user, edit his profile or remove the user from the system.
Team Management
- The organizational structure in the system is such that a group of sales personnel are responsible for one or more products. Therefore, each product has an assigned team of sales personnel to carry out sales activities. The product and sales personnel relationship is called the product group. The module helps in managing these product groups in an easy and effective manner.
Extensive Reports
- The module offers reports for all concerned managers and top level management.
PDA Version
- The PDA based approach enables salespersons to record important information on a hand held device running Palm OS or Windows CE. At the end of the day’s sales, the salesperson will connect this handheld device onto a PC thus transferring all the relevant facts and figures to a server or a centralized database. The management can then easily access this information from anywhere in the world via a password protected website.
- Windows-based front end will collect & push data to centralized server to generate comprehensive meaningful reports and charts, allowing management accessibility to these reports from virtually anywhere in the world.
Development Technology
The solution has been developed using Microsoft.Net Framework, having a three-tier Application Architecture keeping Presentation Tier on ASP.NET for VB.NET, Business Tier on VB.NET and Data Tier on SQL SERVER 2000.
